Engineering experience, applied.
BatQuest uses AI and engineering experience to solve practical problems for small businesses and individuals — starting with what you actually need, then building the right solution.
Not sure where to start? A $99 quick business evaluation gives you an engineer-reviewed report on your website — delivered in 3 business days, credited toward any follow-on work.
Websites that fit, offline AI on your own documents, and apps we’re building for the trades — serving the Southeast, anchored in Upstate South Carolina.
30+ years of engineering & industry experience
We start with the problem and pick the right tool for it — not the other way around. Websites, offline AI, and custom solutions — builds, evaluations, and honest advice.

Anything else engineering can solve — a custom tool, an automation, an integration, or a problem you can’t quite name yet. We evaluate, design, and build it around how you work.

Getting started is low-pressure and built around your problem — not a product we want to sell. Here’s the path from first message to work underway.
Tell us what you’re trying to solve. We start by understanding how your business actually runs and what’s getting in your way — not by matching you to something we already sell. A quick call or message is all it takes.
Engineering and systems-design experience, reaching for the right tool for the job — a custom build, an upgrade to what you have, or an off-the-shelf product. Modern techniques where they help; skipped where they don’t.
Fixed fee for a defined scope, hourly for open-ended advisory, or a hybrid of both. You get a fixed quote or a written scope with the cost spelled out before any work starts — nothing begins until you say go. See how pricing works →
We get to work. You see progress against the scope, and the price doesn’t move unless the scope does — and only with your sign-off. You get the thing that solves your problem, shaped to your workflow and yours to keep.
Your site’s underperforming → we run a $99 quick business evaluation (your website plus a competitive or customer-feedback review, credited toward a build) and pick the right scope → a fixed quote → we build and ship a site that earns its keep.
You want private Q&A on your own documents → we recommend local vs. private-cloud based on your hardware and sensitivity → a fixed quote → we set it up and tune it to your files.
An honest promise
If an off-the-shelf product would serve you better than custom work, we’ll tell you — the goal is your problem solved, not a sale.
A product of our own — built, not yet deployed, with its own site telling the full story.
Coming soonFor HVAC and plumbing companies that lose jobs to missed calls. Handles the call, captures the job, and keeps the customer — so nothing slips while you’re on a job.
In developmentBatQuest is a software development and systems-design practice that solves practical problems for small businesses and individuals. Behind it is 30+ years of engineering and industry experience — systems design and custom web, app, and tool development, backed by an engineering degree. That depth lets us take on problems that don’t fit neatly into a single discipline, and reach for the right tool instead of the one we happen to sell.
We believe small businesses deserve a solution built around them, not around a template. Sometimes that’s custom software; sometimes it’s an upgrade to what you already run; sometimes it’s an off-the-shelf product, set up properly. The goal is your problem solved — software is just how we get there.

Industries we serve
Tell us what you need. If it’s a website or private AI on your documents, we’ll send you straight to the right place — and if it’s something else, a few quick questions help us figure out how to help. If something off the shelf is the better call, we’ll say so.
